YarcData Management TeamPeter Ungaro, Executive Chairman
Peter Ungaro serves as Executive Chairman of YarcData, as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cray Inc. Prior to his appointment as Cray President in March 2005 and Chief Executive Officer in August 2005, Mr. Ungaro served as Senior Vice President responsible for sales, marketing and services. In that role Mr. Ungaro created and implemented Cray’s worldwide sales and marketing strategy, expanding opportunities for Cray products, collaborating with technical leaders, enhancing the capabilities of Cray’s global sales force and leading service and support for Cray’s worldwide customers. Prior to joining Cray in 2003, Mr. Ungaro served as Vice President of Worldwide Deep Computing Sales for IBM where he led global sales of all IBM server and storage products for high performance computing, life sciences, digital media and business intelligence markets. He coordinated IBM solutions teams that included sales, technical, marketing and product development personnel. Prior to that assignment, he served as IBM's Vice President of Sales, Worldwide High Performance Computing, as well as in a variety of other sales leadership positions since joining IBM in 1991. Mr. Ungaro received a B.A. from Washington State University.
Arvind Parthasarathi, President
Arvind Parthasarathi serves as President of YarcData, a Cray company, focused on delivering business solutions for the growing Big Data market. Mr. Parthasarathi joined Cray from Informatica Corporation where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company's Master Data Management business unit. In this role, he led a global team delivering business-focused data management solutions for life sciences, financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare and government. Previously, he served as Vice President of Product Management for Informatica's data quality products, and before that was Senior Director responsible for data migration and data integration solutions. Prior to joining Informatica in 2005, Mr. Parthasarathi was Director of Product Management at i2 Technologies where he was responsible for a number of data-centric supply chain applications including RFID and Event Management. He started his career in product management at Oracle Corporation. Mr. Parthasarathi holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology and a master's degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Center for Excellence in Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing high school and college students into careers in science and technology.
Misti Lusher, Director, Marketing
Misti Lusher serves as Director of Marketing at YarcData, with responsibility for creating brand value and driving revenues via marketing communications, product marketing, field marketing, analyst relations, and inside sales. Prior to YarcData, Ms. Lusher held product marketing and analyst relations management positions at Informatica and Oracle, where she drove top line revenue growth in part by leveraging the market and buyer influence of IT industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester. Ms. Lusher also served as a marketing director for Aprimo, acquired by Teradata, and TriVida, a website personalization startup acquired by Doubleclick. At both Aprimo and Trivida, she created the entire brand image from scratch. In addition, she was a Gartner analyst covering customer relationship management (CRM) and advising enterprise and public sector organization IT executives on critical IT and CRM strategies, technology procurement, and IT management issues. Ms. Lusher holds a bachelor's degree in linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ramesh Menon, Vice President, Solutions
Ramesh Menon is Vice President of Solutions for YarcData, responsible for leading a team developing business-focused graph analytics solutions for a variety of industries including financial services, government, and health sciences. Prior to YarcData, Mr. Menon was responsible for the go-to-market strategy for Informatica's MDM and identity resolution technologies. He joined Informatica following the acquisition of Identity Systems, where he was VP of business development for the Americas business unit. Mr. Menon has more than 18 years of product strategy and business development experience and frequently writes and speaks about the challenges of Big Data and the discovery process enabled by real-time graph analytics. He has a B.A. in computer science from Clark University.
Shoaib Mufti, Vice President, Research and Development
Shoaib Mufti serves as Vice President of Research and Development at YarcData, overseeing engineering and product development activities. Prior to heading the research and development effort for YarcData, Mr. Mufti was Vice President of the Knowledge Management business unit at Cray, where he oversaw the engineering and product management activities. Prior to his Knowledge Management assignment he was the Program Director of the Cray XMT product line. Mr. Mufti joined Cray from Sun Microsystems where he held several senior management positions including managing hardware, software, ASIC and test development teams. Mr. Mufti holds a master's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mr. Mufti is also a Rotary International Scholarship recipient.
Tim White, Global Head, Government and Intelligence
Tim White is the Global Head of the Government and Intelligence line of business at YarcData. The majority of his career both in the military and as a civilian has been focused on leading operational missions. As a result of these experiences he became involved in the design and development of analytical processes and systems to support national security missions. Prior to YarcData he spent eight years at General Dynamics and ran several programs including the National Coordination Center at the National Communications System, the Communications-Information Sharing and Analysis Center, and the US-Computer Emergency Readiness Team at the Department of Homeland Security. In these roles he supported assurance of national security systems, continuity of government, and the operations response in defense of the .gov domain and the nation's critical infrastructure. His military career includes 19 years in Army Special Forces, in which he served several roles from operator to commander on multinational, joint and interagency teams. Tim has a bachelor’s of arts degree in anthropology and mathematics from the University of Mississippi.
David Anstey, Global Head, Life Sciences
David Anstey is the Global Head of Life Sciences at YarcData, offering an in-depth knowledge of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. Dave is responsible for developing and managing the business strategy to deliver YarcData's solutions within the Life Science markets. Dave joins us from IDBS where he was Director of Healthcare, North America. Over the past 11 years at IDBS, Dave focused on growing IDBS' account base and revenue through direct selling and sales management roles. Dave has close to 20 years of experience "selling science" and held key sales roles with Molecular Devices Corp. and Fisher Scientific Canada Ltd prior to IDBS. Dave holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Carleton University, Ottawa, and an M.B.A. from the University of Ottawa focusing on business strategy and international business.
Sherry Marcus, Ph.D., Senior Technical Director
Dr. Sherry Marcus is the Senior Technical Director at YarcData, aligning, leading, and shaping graph discovery analytics capabilities in support of Intelligence community and federal government customers. In her previous positions, including as the founder of 21st Century Technologies and the Vice President of Mission Analytics and Technology at Sotera Defense Solutions, she has led a series of highly successful scalable analytics solutions in support of intelligence and DoD mission needs. Subsequent to these positions, Dr. Marcus worked within the intelligence communities serving in mission critical roles. With 17 years of experience in academic, government, and commercial roles, she specializes in graph analysis, social computing, genetic algorithms, graph-based pattern matching, and data mining. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an A.B. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Cornell University.
